Yeah, what could happen? What they don't seem to realize is that they are shooting themselves in the foot. The humans they replace won't have the money to buy what their robot factories churn out. They are destroying their customer base to save money. Brilliant plan.

Angrily protest, angrily disrupt, angrily condemn. Maybe we can't do all that much individually, and maybe we can't do much as a group (I doubt that, but maybe), but one thing is certain: just throwing our hands up and looking away is simply wrong. Silence in the face of evil always loses.

"ICE does not separate families", she says in response to ICE separating a family. Perhaps their notion of separation is different from my layman's definition, which hinges on physical, irreversible separation. Maybe they mean emotional separation, the kind that neither distance or death create.

Yeah, they need to cut the bastard loose before they all go down with him. Sure, many are dumb enough to go down with the ship, but enough have sense, or at least an instinct for self-preservation, that they will (should) wash their hands of this evil monster.

Nobody is blaming the press for EVERYTHING, but it's fair to blame them for ignoring the standards of journalism that they, for many years, claimed were so important. They have held themselves up as a source of information we could trust and, until recently, we mostly did. Now we can't.

Th $2,000 per (non-rich) person will need more money than the tariffs bring in. And the money is not a gift, it is just a way of returning the money taken from us. In other words, we are paying ourselves.
