I just feels like Josh has no faith in his receivers at all. Seems hesitant to pull the trigger, but at the same time feels the need to do hero ball.
Hated the fumble, but at least he went down swinging.

Huh. That's interesting. Takes the algorithm that already powers the front page and turns it into a video. Combining "news you care about" with a top story, maybe?
Larger question: Is there still a desire for this kind of "personal news"?

It's one thing to have a partnership with a sportsbook. So many do these days. But it's another to have that partnership WITH YOUR NAME ON IT.
I wonder if this helps ESPN's reporters and their credibility on past and present scandals. Now you don't have the "but ESPN Bet" critique.

3. The answer to all your questions is money. This is a better financial deal for ESPN and a huge get for DraftKings.
4. That said, I wonder if there's a journalistic credibility thing at play here. It's probably better for ESPN's journalism to not have an ESPN Bet product out there.

And now this. Some thoughts:
1. As I understood it, ESPN Bet was always just Penn Entertainment with an ESPN wrapper around it. Except for the promotional stuff talent did, it was a a different thing, same name
2. ESPN has always put a wall between its journalists and any gambling stuff.

I do wonder if there's a journalism credibility thing here, probably as a side note. Having a partnership with a sports book is a lot different for source credibility as having your name on a sports book.
