As a policy don’t believe anything posted by anyone who is American without first checking either their source or corroborating with a second source. Sorry good America but too much of America is bad and just makes things up or twists the truth. It is poisoning the digital world.

If I might make a suggestion: it seems to me American politics is utterly ruined by having a president. I think you should get rid of this office and replace it with something less grandiose and more technocratic. A bit more like the EU president.

The bitter irony of giving voters a choice that’s more varied than “choose red or blue” is that it’s easier to get extreme views represented, but harder to have them take power due to the need to compromise constantly and team up with other parties.
I’d say NL system is better than US, but still….

So many comments on here don’t seem to understand how most EU democracies work. There are loads of parties and fragmentation. Nearly every government is a rainbow coalition. There is still a significant number of far right and right wing parties out there who can team up to control the government.
