One of my larger slump vases, finally finished! I hesitated posting this in the current state of the world, but felt like it was important to keep moving forward in my life. (Also, US friends, please contact your reps!)

More progress on my current WIPs. Here are the two vessels without the foam supports and with some stamped textures added. Next I'll be applying colored slip. #Ceramic #Clay #Pottery #Porcelain #Abstract #Potters #PottersOfBlueSky

Been building taller slump vases. The foam supports will be removed later. Making these is fun & challenging, since taller means more weight on the lower section. There's a fine balance waiting for the walls to firm up to add the next coil, but keeping them soft enough to slump without collapsing.

This piece is part of an exploration I'm currently developing. Still lots to test and work out, but I'm happy with the direction they are moving in.

I make a lot of teacups because of the smaller scale. I like the idea of these objects connecting to another person on an intimate level in their daily lives. Here are some lidded teacups intended for Eight Treasures Tea (八宝茶).
