Det er bedre å være den katten som går for seg sjøl enn den som stoler blindt på andre

"When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me"
That would've made an interesting episode of Danger UXB.

Many people don't understand what a referendum is/is not.

If you look at Arnstein's Ladder of Participation referendum sits at the level of involvement, which is gaining public input but not binding.

From that public input you can then formulate proposals/choices upon which the public can vote.

Referendum should only ever be seen at best at the involving stage on the Ladder of Participation, ensuring public concerns and aspirations are heard and considered.

They should never be binding nor the final decision as to the way forward.

When did Reform first become concerned about defamatory remarks about people's mental health, was it today or yesterday?

It acknowledges that the only way motoring will ever offer you driving freedom is if you have a private estate.

For some it might speak of aspiration I suppose.

No surprise considering Google AI is using Grokopedia in its language model.

With Google AI using Grokopedia for its language model, expect your gran to become far more racist anytime soon.

Yep, people need to learn about Arnstein's Ladder of Participation and understand what a consultation is and is not. As for referendum, whilst they allow slightly more input from the public they should not be binding nor be seen as the final decision.

I avoid any programme whose underpinning is 1950's US psychological experiments but that aside, I've got to ask if anyone is going to watch a programme called Traitors what the hell would they expect? There's a clue in the title.

I must have missed the bit in Das Kapital about snow plowing bike lanes.

It's not just that they're racists saying racist things but when challenged they justify it as raising "legitimate concerns".

No, they were falsehoods/lies that were racist, the only legitimate concern is how has such overt racism is being allowed to be mianstreamed in our politics and media.

It appears that Labour support violence whether it be genocide in Gaza, attacks on police in London or foreign actors fomenting hate with stochastic terrorism.

No it's not a good idea. Autobesity is a known phenomena with cars getting bigger year on year but who asked for that? Why should society bend to the greed of motor manufacturers and motorists?

You wouldn't buy a sofa that's too big for your house and expect the council to extend your property.
