i think both of those ways people perceive his pacifism just show a misunderstanding of the core concepts of his character and i find both frustrating.

i can tell exactly how good or bad a person is going to characterize vash overall based on how they view his pacifism LOL

easy as naïvety to the way the world works, or the need to "be the bigger person (if we do this we're not better than them!)". he doesnt have all the answers to his way of thinking, and i think to some degree even he understands its flawed, especially as the story progresses
