AI bros who don't understand the difference between training a model to mimic an artist and applying a image2image transformation on a single image.. they have claimed this is why Glaze doesn't work, since the first day of Glaze's release 2 years ago.

Developing AI tools is not in our plans. This will continue to be our position, at least until potential ethical and legal issues are resolved in a way that does not harm artists.

I find it much more helpful to think of "effect." Convention exists cuz it reliably provides a specific effect, know what that effect is and you won't need to mindlessly follow convention. /1

I think it's important for people to read this and watch the full video. In an age where human work keeps being devalued, seeing this happening to those that put in the hard work to make great experiences for us is heartbreaking.
Back in 2021, PMG reported on the unseen games industry crunch taking place at outsourcing studios in SE Asia.
Since then, the companies we looked at have continued to work on some of the biggest games in the world, without any push to improve the conditions of the artists doing that work. (1/7)
