Loved his Brahms Requiem which I borrowed from the local library before we sang it at uni. Revelatory compared to (I think) Klemperer. And Margaret Price was stunning with Previn!

Serenade for Strings. Although I’ve played in string ensembles for 40 years, I’ve only played it once, unlike Dvorak, Tchaikovsky and that dirge that Elgar produced. The slow movement of the Suk is sublime

Been out for the day so just catching up now, ironically with a/c descending into LTN overhead. Great show! Learning loads. Capt. Chris is a great teacher
