Defending democracy is easier when you listen to voters
The worst outcomes are less likely if Trump is less popular. So Democrats need to win the battle of public opinion.

People say banning guns won’t work: but I notice very few mass shootings in airports.

I want to believe we are in that fragile space where the paycheck of racism and xenophobia has just been spent, but the bills have not yet come due.

For all the high minded words of the founding fathers, let’s not forget that the revolutionary war was started by people who didn’t want to pay taxes. Not much has changed since then.

Rewatching X files. It’s incredible how *well* it ages. I can’t tell you the number of times I have sat down to rewatch old favorites and clicked them off in horror. X files was well written then, and it’s still great, great stuff. At least through the first two seasons… which is where I am now.

Tracking a shipment from San Francisco to Seattle, via usps, it has now been to post office locations in Texas, Utah, and Colorado. Still no delivery date after two weeks of travel. Someone could walk from San Francisco to Seattle faster than this.

I can't begin to say how heartbroken, disappointed, and ultimately disgusted I am by what has happened to the Washington Post, and what Jeff Bezos has allowed himself to become.

Looking for work; prior employer does not qualify for cobra extension if healthcare. Buying that same plan on the market would cost me almost twice as much as rent.

I understand the distress… but not the shock. Trump is doing exactly what he said he would do. Anyone who is surprised right now REALLY wasn’t paying attention.
