Prior to 2015/tr*mp my mom was a lifelong R who’d grown up in the deeep red rural sticks of southcentral PA. She’d been gradually trending left since I came out 🏳️‍🌈 but went full Bernie bro in 2016. Today she mailed this postcard to the White House comment line (“he talks like he’s 8 so I did too”😂)

i’m quite left of liberal, but nothing makes the blue maga in my life angrier than saying things like “your blue president normalized mass death,” “liberals are out to lunch on civil disobedience under a blue president,” etc. They punch left, always, when it’s all of us against the ruling class

Centrist liberals punch left relentlessly and refuse to self-examine, it’s kinda their whole bit. Enjoy my new favorite image, from a fb group called Veterans of Veterans of Leftist Infighting

77 million people voted for this, but 31 percent of voters and 38 percent of eligible people did not — that’s 167 million people. Federal elections are decided by a handful of counties in 6-7 swing states, which also means that some votes “count” more than others. How is that democratic?

I agree it’s a bit of an extreme position, and I hope the individual journalists are safe and protected from harassment from the admin. I and other people have just noted disturbing trends in normalization and I think it’s important to triangulate our sources whenever possible

Coalition-building is tremendously important moving forward, especially due to the unified disdain for intellectuals and identified Others. I think it’s very important to determine who we can build with and learn from in our communities. The punching left (including from the left) is just exhausting
