I am currently reading this book, and I think I will read it in one sitting. It is incredible! I am in between jobs currently, and now that I've heard of "anthropologist of gift economies", that has sparked my interest... Thank you again for the recommendation!

I absolutely agree with all you've said! I have yet to read it - it's on hold at the library to support the libraries in this time! - but Jonathan Haidt's newest book, The Anxious Generation, gives some insight onto why Gen Z is so affected in particular. I can't speak much on it now, but... soon!

Thank you for saying this. I have been saying the same thing. Human beings, especially children, are SO easily programmed. The entirety of Gen Z grew up with unregulated technology and that is affecting how we operate and look at things. There are so, so many factors. (I am Gen Z and OY! lol)
