Here's my email to rebecca.kutler@nbcuni.com about @joyannreid.bsky.social and after that I signed off. I am appalled. First Tiffany Cross, now Joy Reid? Really?!! 😡 😡 😡
Dear Ms. Kutler, I am writing from (censored), Europe. I used to respect MSNBC and count on at least some of its shows in order to remain up to date on the terrible things happening in the U.S. Among those shows, Joy Reid's The Reid Out was simply [emphasis]one of the best[end emphasis]. She often was [emphasis]the only one[end emphasis] who provided the depth, intellect, insight and relevant cultural and international angles necessary for the moment in her spot-on analyses. In the current political climate, where it is clear - here in the rest of the world at least - that the U.S. has decided to target and throw Black people, women and other vulnerable segments of the population under the bus, it is absolutely alarming and appalling that out of all the people working at MSNBC, Ms. Reid is the person you decided to get rid of, especially when you have people like Joe and Mika and their terrible circus of a show, further tarnished by their compromised reputation and integrity still stinking up the building at MSNBC! What are you doing? I urge you to reconsider your decision. I already know many individuals who take their news seriously and who might have flirted with the idea of boycotting MSNBC before, that are very serious about doing so now.
