Great read! Love the analogy of zen gardens.

Have no doubt, as a populist, he will take away your rights if it meant he would stay in power. There are no decency, principles, philosophy, ethics or morals with him. It's just just power.

If he cared about his family or anyone else but himself, he would have stepped down, and spent time reflecting on his brutal losses.

Instead he's doubling down, coming back to once again haunt PoC with his stupid reductionist sound bites. Just don't.

Just a window into his insufferable personality. People like him experience no shame. Any normal person would step back and reflect.
Imagine believing this guy cares about anyone but himself.

From what we've seen in the past decade, these neocons don't care about respect. They see politics as a football game and root for the team no matter what. It's even worse in places like Alberta where people live in an echo chamber 😞

what happened in the 905? why the shift to the right?
May 1, 2025 at 2:16 AM
what happened in the GTA/905? It can't be some superficial reason. There is something very deep that's made people move to the right while we're in the middle of a trade war that most likely impacts them. I can't wrap my head around it 🫤

I'm curious, what you think these underlying issues are. I'm also baffled by the strong CPC support in these areas but can't seem to pinpoint anything that significantly impacts the people living in for example the 905, but not elsewhere 🫤

Exatcly. Measles is here because dumbass parents refuse to vaccinate their children. They should hit those bumpkin communities with massive vax campaigns.

It is interesting to know that even with a trade deficit, most of excess revenue often comes back to the US in terms of investments and Treasury bonds purchases.

In reality it will make the debt situation worse because A) people would buy less, and B) businesses that create value-add from raw imports would go out of business due to increased raw material prices, driving the tax income lower.

Now, Americans buying less will reduce the trade deficit due to less imports but it clearly won't reduce government debt because government revenue hasn't changed.

Now you might think, goodie, let's add import tarrifs which will make products more expensive, thus increasing tax revenue.

The message and messenger must come from that world. You can't take urban elite talking points and take that to rural farming communities. The message must be tailored to them and their circumstances and delivered by people who live it.

Buying isn't better. My snowblower broke, so I tried buying a used one. The seller claimed it worked and I double checked with them, but it didn’t even start. After wasting my time driving 2 hours and BS excuses "it worked 5 mins before", I just went and bought a random one from Home Depot.

FB market place, Craigslist, and Kijiji in Canada are all like that. I've just given up on selling used stuff. It's a shame but the amount of insanity involved with selling stuff on these platforms is just nuts.

My solution is to just leave them by the curb with a "free" note and people take them.

Measles also causes "immune amnesia" effectively resetting body's memory of previous immunity.
