I know some of my acquaintances birthdays.

People know that I like art 😂

There are compliments folk won’t make to boys, just because they’re boys.

There are compliments folk won’t make to girl, just because they’re girls.

There is an emotional toll that has on babies, adolescents, kids, teens, young adults, seasoned adults AND elders

Folk be swearing boys can’t be called adorable. That girls can’t be called leaders.

That somehow a world where kids get less love because of gender is *okay* if they live within guided lines

Folk be so invested in faking the funk.

After a while you just start being funky 😆
