Can you confirm me this :
- When you add a picture in a post, the small x in the red circle displays normally ?
- When you click on "ALT" to add an alt text, the x in the top right doesn't display normally ?

Please fill the ALT field when posting pictures on Bluesky.
With Blue Thread, after adding a picture, click the ALT button to open a pop up window, and describe the picture in a few sentences.
It helps visually impaired users to know what you're talking about.

- The list is increased to 142 languages 🌍
- Fixed the flag emojis that didn't display correctly on Chrome
- You can now type in some letters in the field and it will filter the list !

What browser are you using ?
And do you use auto-translation of the page with your browser ? Because I think that might be a reason why it doesn't work.
You should only have 1 English option, like this (this is with Firefox, without translation)
