"Opening Windows," now live and online, uses web technology to share glimpses into the people, places and objects that have brought Sing Sing Prison to where it is today - a vast, complicated portrait of the American penal system. 12 stories brought right to their screen, wherever they are.

We sought to answer this question in our latest project with the Sing Sing Prison Museum - to build a virtual preview of what guests can expect from the physical museum, which is slated to open in the coming years.

"I wanted people to feel like they are looking into the exhibit like a window. We chose to highlight the transparency of the stories through vibrant colors and double-color exposure techniques."

"A lot of the design inspiration and colors came from the surrounding natural environment that Sing Sing is situated on, as well as different printing techniques," said Patillo.

Over the next two weeks, we will share our behind-the-scenes stories of working alongside the museum to bring this exhibit to life.
