My name is pronounced “Rhymer” (think poet). When I say my name I get that people will misspell it, spelling it like it sounds. I don’t get why when this person sent me a set of manuals for our new-to-us car that having never heard my name, only having seen it in text they STILL misspelled my name.

I used to be scary in the kitchen. Tonight I made chi churee Thai curry with mussels, and it got four yums during the meal. It took me about 1/2 hour. Also had ghee, onions, garlic, green beans, cilantro, fish sauce, palm sugar, and sesame seeds because why not?
No leftovers.

Having been legally blind from the 1970s until 1998, I would have laughed at this then. Nine eye surgeries later (mostly well-sighted), I still think this is funny.

On a plane, and the snack choices were pretzels, a stroopwaffle, or a gluten free quinoa cookie round with some chocolate. The flight attendant offered “pretzel, waffle, or chocolate”? I said “ignore the dog mask…I’ll have the chocolate.”

Reality is that these airline seat back displays are reporting abnormally high wind headwind speeds (about 100 mph) and temps (about 170 f) while taxiing down the runway slowly.

This is why I have so much disdain for people who knowingly or carelessly post propaganda and other falsehoods.
