Another project complete!

Grinding is my least favorite step so far, but I’m trying to learn to love it. It’s also the longest step, and the messiest. :)

These are all shaped up, though, and ready for de-stickering and cleaning.

My soldering is very, very functional, but not pretty. (I am on brand) More practice will help.

Adventures in glass: today I used my grinder for the first time, to smooth out the edges and get them closer to the template shapes.

Then everything got washed to get the oils and teeny glass bits off from the cutting and grinding process.

Everything fits together much better now. Yay!

Successfully broke some glass for the first time while at lunch today.

Got a weird break on the not-clear pink so had to make a switch, but that’s why the vinyl stickers are removable. :)

Five pieces of stained glass in various shades of pink and orange. They have templates on them numbered one through nine, showing what shapes will be cut from them. I loved bringing in some surprise fire and sparking effects, and having an app so the crowd could join in on some rolls.

Huh! I poked around - there’s an app called Habit Tracker. Looks like it may solve this issue.
A super simple habit tracker which is basically just checkboxes. It currently shows two habits - walk, and exercise.

So far, this year’s Gävle Goat in Sweden still stands.

In 58 years, the Gävle Yule goat has been destroyed or damaged in some way 42 times - usually by fire.

Burning or harming the goat is illegal, but very few people have actually been caught, prosecuted or fined for Goat Vandalism (tm).

The “Danner Memorial Window” which sold at auction this week for $12.5 million.

Designed at Tiffany Studios by Agnes Northrop, it’s 16 feet tall.

It debuted at a church in Canton Ohio in 1913, and sold to a corp collection in the 1990s. Sold again at auction for $1.99m in 2000.
