Sympathies. I have some MAGA relatives, including 2 of my 3 siblings, & I'm glad I don't have to deal with them every day. One is RW after converting to his wife's Christian fundamentalist religion, the other became RW after marrying someone in a rural area & hearing RW media nonstop. Brainwashed.

Great photo! She looks like she could be an actress today starring in a film about a beautiful flapper.

That's so cute I wondered if it was even real, but it is. Cat Cafe!

I post much more on other platforms and frequently warn people that AI can't be trusted. But no matter how many errors are shown - and no matter the AI companies' own warnings that their tools make mistakes - some people feel that chatbots getting _anything_ right is reason enough to use them.

The airdrops started in 1995, during Clinton's first term, but apparently whatever press release the USDA sent out left out that info, to give the impression Trump started this.

You should have included the background information that this program started decades ago, with the first airdrops in 1995 during the Clinton administration. If your story is based on a press release from the Trump admin not providing background, they're trying to take credit for it.

if the AI peddlers explained and tried to justify the theft of the world's intellectual property to train the AI models for the profit of AI companies...

What we have now with fallible generative AI was never part of any SF utopia. 2/2

I've sometimes told genAI peddlers that if they could go back in time even several years and tell writers in the SFWA suite at a worldcon how much hype and investment would go into very fallible genAI by now, they'd probably be met with laughter and disbelief that anyone would want it. And then 1/2
