I logged 1000 laps at the Y today (1006), which is 28.4 miles because America refuses to adopt the metric system. I did a hundred or so more laps outside over the summer, which is enough to get it over 1000 metric laps, or 50km.
Tomorrow I'll log 1000 days sober.

The many bikes to get through childhood. I've gotten my daughter her last kid bike. At some point in high school, she'll get an adult bike. She went from trailer to balance bike, through those shown.

I've started subsistence hunting. As an eater of moderate amounts of meat, I want to get away from factory farmed meat as much as I can. Rabbit is ecologically sustainable, and deer have become a pest species due to our eradication of wolves from this area. This is my first kill with my bow.

Two years clean and sober today. I started at AA and worked the steps. I don't regret anything I've done with the program and my life is immeasurably better now.
Sometimes I think, it would be nice if I could drink. But I can't, and that's ok.

My uncle has metastatic stomach cancer. He's been having strokes related to the chemo, and the prognosis is bad. I had cancer when I was 25, and practically as fit as a person could be. By the end, I couldn't walk. My odds had been 60% better than his are now.
Idk, this just sucks.

My new car (as of July) does not have a CD player. Hyundai are clearly all pushing a future I don't want to be in. Regardless, my only working CD drive is in a mostly dead laptop which I'm now using to rip my entire collection to put into personal cloud storage. OHMYGOD I have so many CDs.
