A small harvest of sun gold tomatoes and sugar snap peas.

The bigger tomatoes are taking longer to ripen, but wow, when they do, we are going to have to work double time to keep up with processing them!

One of the bonuses of shopping locally, instead of ordering online, is that I get to discover amazing little shops & creators. Today, my friend took me to a new card & gaming shop, and I got this amazing little Game Boy scene to add to my desk. The retro vibe makes me smile!

Learned a new skill. I am all out of bread bags to gift my bread to my coworkers, so I used the 1st half of this video to make one!

I really appreciate my Summer School team and hope these Rosemaey Parmesan Artisan loaves will be a good thank you gift.

A glass bowl is filled with flour and sprinkled with rosemary. There is a sprig of rosemary resting on the bottom left corner of the bowl. In the top right corner, there is a container of shaved parmesan. And there is a bowl of plain flower in the top right corner. This is a photo of my ingredients for making an artisan loaf of rosemary parmesan bread (with the exception of the salt, garlic powder and water. These are the baked loaves of bread. Recipe: 3 cups of flour 1 1/4 tsp of salt 1 2/3 cup of water 1/2 tsp of yeast Add any extras like cheese, fruit, dried meats, candies, veggies, pickles, etc. Less water for juicy or liquid additives. Mix and set aside over night. After 12-18 hours, remove from the bowl, folding/rolling into shape and set on floured surface for 2 hours. Preheat the oven to 475° with a pan with a lid inside (Dutch oven, can't iron, even pyrex works) Place loaf inside when up to temperature for 30 min with lid on. Remove lid and bake for 15 min more. Eat the whole loaf 🤣 These are parchment paper bags I folded using the YT video. They are sitting on a floury counter with excess groceries behind them.

A beautiful summer rainbow means I dont need to water the garden and that our drought is going to improve slightly.

Summer's beauty.

Last night, we watched CNN's John Lewis: Good Trouble and did a candlelight protest. We also had the privilege of listening to a speaker who worked with both Dr. King and John Lewis. He continues engaging in resistance work. It was just what my heart needed.

I am deeply disappointed by @repdelbene.bsky.social voting against impeachment today, thereby allowing Trump to continue to expand his overreach in the use of the executive branch, and by extension our tax money.

Due to exhaustion & a cold, I wasn't able to join the No Kings Rallies. I did, however, wear my message out into the community between naps.

Also, it's our 29th anniversary! Hurrah!

While I am sad about missing this historic event, rest and joy are also resistance.

Today, my family and I took part in the Pride Parade in my husband's small hometown. We are proud to have participated annually, since it began in 2022.

Our local clergy took turns trying to speak the truth, with love, to the counter-protesters. Now is ALWAYS the time to live Matthew 22:39!

Two weeks ago China was in grave economic danger! The very high Tariffs I set made it virtually impossible for China to TRADE into the United States marketplace which is, by far, number one in the World. We went, in effect, COLD TURKEY with China, and it was devastating for them. Many factories closed and there was, to put it mildly, “civil unrest.” I saw what was happening and didn’t like it, for them, not for us. I made a FAST DEAL with China in order to save them from what I thought was going to be a very bad situation, and I didn’t want to see that happen. Because of this deal, everything quickly stabilized and China got back to business as usual. Everybody was happy! That is the good news!!! The bad news is that China, perhaps not surprisingly to some, HAS TOTALLY VIOLATED ITS AGREEMENT WITH US. So much for being Mr. NICE GUY!
