Why should you avoid purchasing books from Amazon, Walmart, and other mass-retailers? 🧵

By supporting independent bookstores, publishers, and libraries, readers can contribute to a healthier, more equitable literary ecosystem. 📚✍️🌱🌍 📖

War and Peace
On the Principle and Constitution of the Rights of Peoples
Pierre-Joseph Proudhon (Author); Alex Prichard (Introduction); Paul Sharkey (Translator)

Pages: 625
Released: August 23, 2022
ISBN-13: 9781849354684
I won’t do this for my own books, cos it’s a bit vulgar, but knowing that AK Press have shifted 1647 paperbacks, and 316 ebook versions of Proudhon’s War and Peace (1861) is quite the story.

It’s 600 pages on the history of war and jus gentium, ffs!

I’m chuffed to have helped make this happen
War and Peace

Proudhon's anarchist theory of international relations, a 19th-century vision of what might have been and could still be.

This Is an Uprising: How Nonviolent Revolt Is Shaping the Twenty-First Century
by Mark Engler & Paul Engler

Nonviolent resistance thrives when organizers, disruptors, and visionaries unite, playing to their strengths. A compelling look at theory, practice, and evolving strategies for social change.
How do everyday people stand up to authoritarians and win?

If you’re asking, "What can I do?" and ready to act, I’ve found This is An Uprising by Mark & Paul Engler deeply inspiring. It’s filled with real stories of movements that toppled oppression—essential for our united path to #RESIST.
