I am a good boy.
My friends call me Beanie.
That lizard makes me so angry.

I still have to get drops and ointment in my eyes every day (and insulin injections too). My dad says I'm high maintenance, but I'm worth it.
Now I can see perfectly again and even though my blood sugar levels will still vary greatly with my diabetes, my artificial lenses will never blur!

I wore my neck cone for ages but at least I could see enough to bark at everything outside my window again! My dad put lots of eye drops and ointments in my eyes every hour for days. Finally I was allowed to take it off!

My humans paid a lot of money. They put artificial silicon lenses into my eyes (the same procedure they use for humans).
I was scared in the hospital with very sore eyes for some days, but then my daddy arrived! I was so happy!
I wore a cone to stop me scratching my eyes - they were very itchy.

My humans took me to a veterinary ophthalmologist. The changes in blood sugar levels from my diabetes caused the fluid in my lenses to cloud over (cataracts). It only took weeks to happen.

A month later it got worse. I didn't understand. I was tripping on the stairs, moving very slowly trying to remember where things were. I stopped barking at things outside and I lost my purpose. I moped a lot. My eyes turned almost completely grey with cataracts.
