I am grounded in my faith and in my 20 years of service as a public school teacher. These cuts to SNAP betray our moral duty to care for the sick, the hungry, and the thirsty.

That’s the message I shared in front of Congressman Brad Finstad’s office on Monday.

We absolutely need to crack down on SNAP fraud. But we can do that without cracking down on hungry children.

Let’s make SNAP cards more secure, strengthen the vetting rules for vendors, and finally appoint an Inspector General at USDA to go after SNAP fraud.

Right now, there are two sets of rules in this country: one for the wealthy and well-connected, and one for the rest of us.

That’s not how democracy is supposed to work.

This may be dumb but....I'm trying to figure out what happens after they destroy all the things they're (illegally) destroying. Like, do they ever go back and make the laws match the result that they end up with, or do they just say "oh well, I guess laws don't matter anymore - for us."

If this was a Stieg Larsson book, now is the time a white knight hacker would use the vulnerabilities left by the DOGE bros to drain the assets of the oligarchs and redistribute them to <pick your progressive cause>.
