Unlike my usual subjects, "Bloom" is a series focused on the small – the birds, bees, blossoms and butterflies which have made the process of working towards a pollinator-friendly yard incredibly rewarding.

At this point in the season it's mostly the small, white asters still in bloom in our yard.

This bee (and many like it) continue to visit regularly.
