AI coding assistants are most valuable for the tasks developers find boring (boilerplate, docs, tests) but can be more problematic for complex logic where context really matters. Finding the right balance is still an art.

Don't understand people who don't like TypeScript tbh. It makes working on large codebases with multiple devs so much more manageable. Everyone just gets the expected data shapes.

Tested Gemini 2.5 Pro on some coding stuff today. Code generation surprisingly solid (didn't expect that from Google 😄). Not perfect, but impressive for complex tasks!

Dokploy looks promising as an open-source alternative to Vercel/Netlify/Heroku. Has anyone migrated production apps to it? Curious about real-world performance and reliability compared to commercial options. I'm very happy with Coolify but good to know alternatives

Design tokens have become essential for scalable frontend work. The rise of Tailwind CSS was one of the biggest drivers, but let's be real... in many codebases it's still just CSS class spaghetti 😅 Years in and it's still getting harder to read just to change something basic.

After 20+ years of coding, I've realized the most valuable skill isn't knowing every framework. I've learned many programming languages in school and at work (most are RIP😅) but what really matters? Knowing when to use the right tool for the job.

People keep dissecting Elon’s “Roman Salute” meanwhile he’s at rallies with Germany’s right-wing party saying there’s “too much focus on past guilt” and “children should not be guilty of the sins of their parents, let alone their great-grandparents.”

When people show who they are, believe them.

There's no alternate context or gray area to something like this.

If you're not disgusted by this, you've picked your side of the line already.
