Loves video games, pro wrestling, cooking, horror.
A lot of my favorites have already been listed, so here's two that are a bit unique.
Saturday Night Slammasters is more a fighting game than a wrestling game, but it captures the 80s/90s wrestling theme perfectly. WWF Betrayal is an underrated beat 'em up for GBC. Its dumb, but fun.

#28 - The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero
I'd say this is the best first entry of the sagas, this one being Crossbell Saga. The main party are all likeable and interesting, which made me want to learn more. Like the others in this series, this is a long one. My playtime was about 70 hours.

#27 - Castlevania Legend
A fun and short play through for the Halloween season. I do wish the sub weapons were more useful. Sonia Belmont was suppose to get a Dreamcast game, but it was canned. Surprised to learn this game has multiple endings! Think I got the neutral ending, which I'm happy with.

#26 - Crow Country
Play through this in one sitting. This is a great game. I loved the story and atmosphere. Had to actually take notes for some of the puzzles. Will probably play through again to try and get an S rank.

Like a Dragon: Yakuza Pirates in Hawaii
I love this series and this one was awesome. I do hope Majima gets to be playable in the turn based series in future. Not a lot to say. If you like the RGG games and Goro Majima, pick this one up. Lots of stuff to do and Majima's fighting styles are fun.

#24 Snow Brothers Wonderland
I have a lot of sentimental attachment to the original Snow Bros. on NES. It was one of my mom's favorite games. As far as random retro game remakes go, this is a fun one. Frustrating at times, but good challenge with a friend. Loved the music too.

#23 Fantasy Life i
After about 50 hours, I finished the story of this one, which was deeper than I thought it would be. There's still a ton to do in this game and I will return every now and then to master every life in the game. If you need a new Animal Crossing style game, pick this up.

#22 Donkey Kong Bananza
This game definitely earns all the praise it is getting. Much like other Nintendo 3D Platformers, the game is just fun to play. Even after the credit rolled, I was continuing to play. GOTY contender for sure, right next to Expedition 33.

#21 Metroid: Zero Mission
Enjoyed this quite a bit, but I think I enjoyed Super Metroid a little more. I would probably still replay Fusion over both this and Super though. A bit short, but that's fine considering it is essentially a remake of the original Metroid.

#20 - Super Metroid
After many many many tries to do a full playthrough of this game, I finally managed to do it this year. While I do not think it is the masterpiece that people hail this game to be, it was a great time and I'm glad I finally finished it. Now to finally play through Zero Mission

#19 Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
An amazing game that features everything you would want in a JRPG. Engaging story with a world you want to learn more about. Incredible music. A unique battle system that forces you to master it. Take a chance and try this one if you're even slightly curious

#18 Everhood
Don't know why it took me so long to try this one (here's me telling you a lie as he continues to hoard a backlog of games) This was a great game. Took me back to the first time I played Undertale. The incredible music definitively helps as you will retry fights over and over.

#17 Geno Panic
This has the tag 'Metroidvania' on steam, but that's pretty big stretch. Its a mostly linear 2D platformer. It is still a fun game that you can beat in one night. Interesting world and finding lore during the game kept me going. I would say pick this one up on a sale or bundle.

I miss these two drinks everyday.

#16 Access Denied Escape
Short but sweet puzzle game that escape room enthusiasts will like. Is included in many bundles, but I think the $5 price is fair for this one. You'll finish it in one sitting. Only complaint is that the hint system will just flat out tell you the answer.

#15 For the King II
Another case of, "Did you like the first game? You'll like this one" Recently patched to help with UI issues, For the King II is more of what we loved from the original. The higher difficulties are still a bit too much to handle for myself, but game is a blast with friends.

#14 Visions of Mana
I really enjoyed Trials when it came out on Switch so I was excited for this one. Visions of Mana is easily the best of the series with combat that is fun with every character and an emotion story that will stay with you. Must play for action JRPG fans.

#13 Adventures of Pip
Fun 2D platformer with a unique mechanic of changing your abilities. You'll be swapping from a pixel block to a fully animated hero multiple times a stage to get 100%. Well worth picking up for a night or two of old school gaming.

#12 - Astalon: Tears of the Earth
Thought this would just be a simple NES style game, but this Metroidvania clocked in just under 20 hours for me. Fun game, but if you're not a fan of backtracking or replaying screens, you'll probably hate this one. Enjoyed my time, but no plans to ever play again.
