I first played spore back in 2008, played the ever living crud out of it between then and 2011 before giving it a long years break until recently and coming back to it. It's still a great game.

I love Spore alien designs so much, that game is a definite opportunity for creating unique characters and species. I know one popular species is the Avali's as they originally were from spore, having been named Ubati's back way then on there.
