You have difficulty showing affection in a way that is conventional, so you often resort to violent through actions or words, though close friends know you don't mean it. You probably cuss a lot as a habit and will always roast someone if the slightest opportunity arises. Deep down, you wish you could express your affections in a way that was conventional, but you fear it would change peoples perceptions of you. Sometimes, around the right people, you will let it slide.

I feel like Yuri would be silently infuriated by not knowing where Byleth went during the timeskip
„You’re following me.“ Byleth’s expression was as blank as always. Yuri smiled and sat down. A well-placed gesture to create the appearance of being vulnerable. Maybe he had underestimated them. Maybe he became complacent. Five years of war made him question a lot. He knew every secret path one could use to disappear from the monastery. No one had seen them, a mystery that kept him up at night. „You may be able to convince Seteth, but not me. Where have you been all those years?“ They blinked, not the hint of a lie in their eyes. „Like I said. I was sleeping.“

What I realised is that I percieve myself to be pretty convinceable and that I headcannon Edie as a lesbian.

Also, how is Petra a rarepair? Lorenz is my transfem headcannon, as pretty much always. The older characters are exclusively for post timeskip or later.

I might scrap this paragraph because it strays too far from what I was going for but I enjoyed it too much not to share
Light fell through the sky. Cichol’s Wyvern rolled on her side. He didn’t even need to look at it to feel the heat of the explosion in the enemy lines. Seiros’ anger was unyielding, burning hot, how only grief was able to push someone. An arrow nearly missed him, another one rickocheted off his shoulder plate. His hair stung his eyes, sticky with blood and sweat. Behind it the whole world blurred to a mass of shadows and screams. He rushed forward, following flashes of magic above the rows of clanking armor and swords, Assal being a threat to anyone that dared to come close. A single impression of green hair seemed to appear between the soldiers, far away from the hill, where Seiros fought against Daphnel, her sword against the spear, whose heart still pulsated. Thief. Murderer. It didn’t matter if he didn’t reach Cethlean. He ducked deeper behind his Wyvern’s neck to escape the rain whipping through his face. The green shimmer was gone, burrowed underneath the waves of spears and armor and grim faces. Behind him, Seiros raised her sword in a foul victory. A scream shattered what was left of his world.

I‘m really getting into translating my old drabbles

As soon as Dimitri’s blood had seeped into the ground they had lost, Rhea just didn’t want to believe it. Anette saw it in her eyes, Catherine’s, Ashe’s, those of her father. Nobody said anything. Slowly, even Cyril knew. Not that that changed anything, his decision was made. He would stay with Rhea, trying to stop the inevitable. She wanted to flee. Had she been able to convince him, they already would have been on a ship to Albinea. She didn’t even ask him. She didn’t have to. Stories will be told about the last fight of the war. She hoped they would remember him.

It feels more like a sketch than anything else, but it‘s something to build upon
Seteth knew grief. Before Cethlean – Flayn, he needed to remind himself – awoke, he could feel it together with Rhea. Her anger was hellfire and sulfur, his the pressure at the bottom of the sea. They complemented each other. The rift grew slowly. After Flayn awoke, he spent his time learning to be a father again. Rhea’s endless tirades receded into the background, behind brooches and flying lessons and endless amounts of fish. He still didn’t have the heart to learn how to properly bait a fishing hook, but that could come with time. It didn’t take his breath away anymore. Sometimes he asked himself if Rhea resented him for that.

Hanneman had grown old. The way he rubbed his back, how he squinted his eyes, when he cast a spell. Bernadetta was good at observing. For years, she did nothing else than search every detail in her vicinity for possible dangers. She was the only one that noticed how the reins slipped from his hand, while his horse followed the group through the fields in Adrestia’s north. She was with him before he had fully slipped out of the saddle and helped him to glide to the ground safely. War was no place for a scholar.

Is it still a drabble if it has more than 100 words after translating it into English due to a lack of compound words?

Interaction between Hapi and Lambert from a writing exercise where I draw two random characters and let them interact.

It could be read as Dimitri instead of Lambert though.

Its flanks lifted and lowered in a rapid rhythm, dark blood seeped into the forest floor. When Hapi came closer, it bared its teeth. It was different from the beasts whose appearance at every sigh had driven her into the north of Faerghus. Bigger and with golden prongs, that resembled a parody of a crown. „Hey, hey, don’t worry.“ Cautiously she began to pull the first spear from its side, a shiver ran through the heavy body. „I just want to help.“
