Idk maybe i just have rose tinted glasses but i feel like there used to be an art to this, where seasons would end with the main narrative thrust of the story satisfyingly concluded, but then *also* throw in hooks for the next chapter of the story or leave a beloved character's fate up in the air.

Im so tired y'all. I know that the Netflix model incentivizes cliffhangers in order to maximize audience retention (🤮) but the current trend really feels like its taken to an absurd extreme where it feels like every show abruptly ends one episode early.
