I rolled out of bed a few minutes before the peak and set up my nice camera. I tried using a tripod to let me get longer exposure, too, but the camera and lens were wayyyy too heavy for that tripod. Fun photography experience, for sure!

Very similar, yeah! The addition of corn starch makes pastry cream set a bit thicker.

Hot milk infused with vanilla (we steeped a split bean+seeds), with corn starch/sugar/yolk mix tempered in and boiled until thick. It's the stuff that's inside a good cream puff!
