Why would we agree to give up pretty much anything for US security guarantees, firstly US would not honour them, second US unable-unwilling to deal with their own issues much less ours (if there would even be a US left when we will need those guarantees), third - what would they even be able to do?

Also, of note that Ukrainian language has grammatical gender, and the formulation (protectors, as in AFU) is proactively gender-inclusive, as is in all official communication. Closest analogue would probably be German gender star. Wasn't always this way, warms my heart to see fairness and progress.
