I'm disappointed but unsurprised by the outcome. Angry as I am that the president-elect is a convicted felon, he's way angrier about it then I am. There's a wee bit of satisfaction in that.

I have an idea! Blue states contribute more to the common money pot at the Fed level than Red states - so Blue state disaster aid comes from those funds and only the excess at the end of the year goes to help Red states meet their budgets. Problem solved.

The protests following George Floyd's death, people all over the internet "Eek, Minneapolis is burnt to the ground", Minneapolis residents share time stamped photos proving that Minneapolis is still right there.

Ditto Portland.
