IMO I feel like ralsei admitting he isn't aware of what's up with weird route affiliated stuff and finds it scary is a big sign that the weird route ISN'T the prophecy since ralsei says he knows all of it, so assumedly the ice and snow would be a part of it if he did

Finally doing my deltarune console playthrough and I still am really intrigued by how darkness/dark worlds basically seem to be not just the absence of light but almost an "opposite"
Like if light is a positive number, then dark fountain darkness is a negative number

And finally, something about the aesethic of the card kingdom is just peak wonder and magic/mystical perfect for the opening vibes of a strange new world, and it still stands out so well from the later chapters even if it's on the simplistic side.

You of course have the start of Susie's character arc and even if she isn't nearly where her "default" is in later chapters, it's such a great opening arc while still just being a fun character, and while she isn't favorite of all time from just this chapter, it pushed her up for me quickly

And God, even if we're used to it now, the sheer Mystery of what this world is and who these people are that is subtly at play throughout this chapter, especially coming in from Undertale and with that intro, dark world intro, and ending? I got hooked HARD

First, I cannot stress enough how much this game got me back into Undertale-by mid 2018 I had almost burned out thanks to a certain UT fan animated series and it's awful creator souring HARD on me, and then toby came in with this (seeming) return to his characters, world, writing, and music
