My Blue Collar was blue/saddened when I learned that blue collar workers were considered part of the problem. How dare we advocate for making a decent living?
@claybennett.bsky.social Clay, I have been loving your comics for YEARS! (A favorite is of DJT handing alligators shovels as they emerge from the swamp in 2016)! It amazes and, delights me, that in this climate, you haven’t been run out of red Chattanooga. Hats off to the Times Free Press!

@jheil.bsky.social was that a large vinyl LP collection and turntable in the background of your shot this morning? Love it!

I’m a coal miner’s granddaughter, paternal AND maternal side. An uncle and great uncle were crushed in roofs fall in the mines. Two other great uncles died from injuries sustained working for the mine. That’s not usually going to happen behind a desk, either.

So Dear Leader is embarrassing the US at the UN again. He’s telling other nations to disallow immigrants while we cut money for food aid and burn contraception that would mitigate conditions that cause people to immigrate in the first place. He’s not that dumb. He’s a hate monger.

On the right we have the tech bros pushing AI and Project 2025 promoting large families. For what? To starve? AI is likely to lead to less jobs, at least good quality jobs. Will we even have a capable workforce by then, as they gut education?

MAGA: We don’t want big government telling us what to do!

CPAC: Daddy’s home!

TRUMP: You only need 2 dolls!

MAGA & CPAC: ????

Nimrod thinks that, "This is the most consequential presidency in history.", is a compliment! We’ve all heard: Elections have consequences. This is exhibit A. From the crowd that always says, do your own research, they obviously, did not. CONSEQUENTLY, we’ll all pay for it. Thanks a lot.

So the Heritage Foundation, via Project 2025, is remaking the US into their vision. Why does it get to be THEIR version? Are they the only ones here? It’s a representative democracy. We’re supposed to vote on these things. Are you sorry you didn’t listen when we told you this was coming?

TRUMP: You're not going to have a country left if you don't vote for Trump.

Now, as he disrespects everything the flag stand for and, shreds our constitution daily, I am wondering if we will indeed have a country left when he's done.

For DECADES, assembly workers have been referred to as unskilled labor. What you just said proves the lie! Maybe we don’t have a certificate or degree but, not everyone can just walk off of the street and do a manufacturing job anymore!

Well, well. It seems the toddler in chief has learned another new word: Groceries. If this doesn’t prove to the masses that he has NO IDEA how people live outside of his ivory tower, that he is oblivious to something that’s an every day part of our lives, then what will? Only simple to a simpleton.

Well, Russell Vought said he wanted to put the “bureaucrats” into trauma…This is a characteristic of the right, the ability to “other” and dehumanize people.

These are our neighbors and families just doing their jobs, serving all of us. What are they supposed to do?! This is downright cruel!
Hearing from all corners of HHS this morning about a total bloodletting — firings of scientists, analysts and many more as delayed RIFs take effect.

Many folks didn’t see early AM email and showed up, only to be turned away when badges didn’t work. Was sent this photo of long lines at one HHS site.

Thoughts on Musk’s money in today’s elections…

They count votes, not dollars. Mitt Romney was supposed to overpower Barack Obama with his personal fortune and mega donors. The grassroots proved otherwise.

Don’t assume anything. VOTE!! 🗳️

Let voters be the real “shock troops”!

MAGA wrapped themselves in the flag and remain devoted to a “man”, who I CLEARLY recall saying in his first term: I don’t think the Constitution is very fair to me. And yet, they gave him a second go at it.

I think a lot of folks need to sit down and really think about what America means to them.

Regardless of the GOP’s claims, Obama never made me want to apologize for being white. (Let’s not forget he was half white himself) No, it’s Trump that makes me ashamed of
being white AND an American.

I took my Dad on his Dollar Tree run today. They were putting $1.75 stickers over the $1.25 price on ALL of the aluminum foil products. Looks like the tariffs are already hitting.

But, eggs…

Good grief. Even posting this makes me feel like a Qanon freak. But, considering Musk and Vance’s close proximity to Trump, you have to at least consider it. WTF. 🤬

Several groups representing “startup nations” are drafting legislation to create “freedom cities” in the US that would be free from certain federal laws, WIRED has learned.

They say they've met with the Trump administration about the idea and that the administration has been very receptive.

Our education system is failing us because, America doesn’t math well.

If the reason all of these deep cuts are necessary is because the nation is in danger of going bankrupt, then why, WHY, is locking in large tax cuts for the wealthy also a priority? That just digs a deeper hole. #LIES

Do Canadians not buy and drive cars and trucks?

Someone, PLEASE make the stupid stop!

My apologies, O #Canada.

📣 Public Service Announcement!! 📣

Books like Atlas Shrugged (Ayn Rand), 1984 (George Orwell), The Handmaid’s Tale (Margaret Atwood) and, other dystopian novels are WORKS OF FICTION not freaking instruction manuals!

Meanwhile…Project 2025 WAS an instruction manual, not fiction.

As much as I loathe #Trump, the thought of #Vance being president is horrifying. He’s so smug! Has there ever been a more reprehensible duo in charge of this nation? (Not to mention the cabinet)
Btw, where was Sec of State?

Trump is a bully. #Zelenskyy walked into a trap.
