Dinner tonight. I made some raw sauce, as I had a bowl of Roma tomatoes from my plot in the community garden. Weird, here in VA tomatoes are still growing. I also used fresh herbs. Everything served on a bed of wilted spinach.

Why, my best bud and new furbaby, graduated from beginner training last night. He’s such a little smarty pants, definitely my pup. He’s also stubborn and loves walking, keeping me in shape.

Well on a lighter note, Dave here is exhausted from helping to make the bed. This included rolling on sheets I was trying to put on and snatching pillow cases and taking them to the living room. I forgot how funny life is with a 9 month old puppy.

Good Morning #BreakfastCrew! I have been a little quiet as I have been preparing for my new fur baby. I brought him home yesterday and this morning he taught me to stop and enjoy nature.

My Angus, the best puppy in the universe, crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday. He saw me through two major changes in our lives over the past few years. He was 13 1/2 and was very ill.

Managed to get to my garden plot between rain showers. Harvested this lettuce, tied up tomato plant stems, and gave the soil a turnover. Nature has been doing the watering the last couple days.

Today was bread making day, so one Italian loaf and 2 whole wheat sourdough boule. Got more ambitious and made coconut cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.

My plot in our community garden is planted with lettuce, tomatoes (Roma and cherry), herbs, and some flowers. Can’t wait til it’s ready to be harvested.

First, I went to a local garden center which has been in business for almost 100 years. It started as a vegetable stand in the 1920s.
