My roses are still blooming and you can really smell sea salt in the breeze today #Saturday

An historical map is worth revisiting when a country is evicting all “immigrants”.

Everyone needs a good laugh and we sure had some on Sunday. John Mulaney, Fred Armisen, Nick Kroll and Mike Burbiglia came to Halifax for the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival. Almost 10,000 of us were on the grounds below our Citadel Hill fort, on a beautiful summer night, for a magical experience. ❤️

Just another beautiful summer day in Nova Scotia! Oh, and the local hockey greats gather to gander at the Stanley Cup, thanks to Mr. Marchand. #NHL

It’s a perfect day at Peggy’s Cove, the most photographed destination in Canada. And home to the best lobster roll at Tom’s. A nice breeze, succulent lobster and blue skies. Heaven on earth 😊 #NovaScotia

Happy Canada Day! Starting mine by watering the flowers and I can see folks on the beach already. ☀️ Just another peaceful, beautiful Canadian day 🇨🇦

Aaanndd Trump leaves the G7 without even putting on his jammies. I didn’t win my bet though because I was sure he wouldn’t turn up at all. I just flew out of Calgary, so at least it will be less of a security nightmare without him there

Of course I got some lobster as a gift for my birthday. 😆 All cooked by my brother-in-law, an actual Coast Guard sea captain! Lobster are work to crack — 45 minutes to do two, but we have a big bowl for dinner. Yum. 🦞

I was showing my listing on St. Margaret’s Bay last night and the feeling of calm and peace in that house is incredible. Nova Scotia is THE best place to live 🙂

I spied a Mackerel sky on a drive to Yarmouth this week. The clouds resembles the skin of a mackerel fish and it’s a harbinger of rainy weather. A little Bluesky and sun behind the mackerel though!

A beautiful morning in Nova Scotia! This is the view from my home office window 🙂 A lobster boat is checking traps, while a Coast Guard ship stands ready in St. Margaret’s Bay. The local marina is called Shining Waters and that name holds true today. 💎 Have a good Bluesky day!

From the great N.S. cartoonist Bruce Mackinnon in 2018! Yes, we’ve been here before.

I am watching Brooke Rollins, Agriculture Secretary, lie again on @cnn.com about dairy from Canada. She says “We can’t sell our dairy in Canada”. That is not true. And she would have to be an idiot in her position if she doesn’t know that. This intentional ignorance is an embarrassment.

What strikes me about the Hegseth - Waltz Signal leak is the lack of empathy and respect about the military attack. Using flag, fist and fire emojis after killing many innocents, according to BBC News below, is disgusting. Yemen is one of the poorest countries in the world. Sickening.

Good luck with the Veterans’ March today, America. 🇺🇸 Show the government what a real patriot looks like! 💪🏼

I visited my local liquor store this weekend and the entire row of U. S. wines has been removed. It’s been replaced with Tidal Bay, a Nova Scotia appellation wine that 14 vineyards here make. It’s delicious, so try some when our wines are available across Canada. Or when you come to visit!

Just a sweet reminder that there is a big, beautiful world out there waiting for you. My daughter is at a market in London, England today … and look at those strawberries! 😍
