Caicedo has really grown on me. He's immense for us match after match and honestly, he only score bangers. There's something weirdly enjoyable about that.

I hate these. Third month in a row we have one. Players pulling out of the national teams left, right, and center. Diluted fixtures.
Went to my first Chelsea match in this Rememberance Day period back in '05. Played Newcastle and won 3-0. Bring me back to those days.

Oye! I'm in my mid-forties! The other issue being a Yank, besides the clearly obvious stuff today, is that when I started following Chelsea I had to catch matches a week later on the Tele when they were actually played at 1PM. So I didn't get my start until my early 20's.

I started following Chelsea too late so I missed all those epic away matches in the old Uefa Cup days and half of the Europa League teams are larger European teams, so this is great. This feels like the late 90's with matches against Heidenhölf from Liechtenstein.

And to be fair, I was cackling in the second half yesterday. Legit cackling when Cristo missed the 1v1 and put that second attempt in....

Easy 2-1. They'd have nicked one late and we'd have struggled like hell in the last 10 minutes to get it out of our half only to be saved by the post in the 97th minute with our two center backs laying on the turf knocked out because Bob punched them trying to clear a cross.

Come on, it feels good to see us have a go at some of these sides! It's laughable, but with the last two years, I don't mind.

Can I just say how hilarious it is that rival fans are having at go at us about this competition and beating this lot? We smashed them. Could have scored 15 goals. What's not to like about it?

I absolutely agree. It'll never work out IMO because of exactly that, he just doesn't have a footballing brain IMO. You see it all the time in his play. Just try to kick it through the defender to try and chase it down. I literally said this to a mate of mine yesterday.

Also, fair point. There's a player in there I'm sure, just don't want to fish for it. To me, I'd just rather keep Mudryk and wait for it to click with him.

Yeah. I can't get excited about players anymore because they're either going to suck, be really good & get sold for massive product, or be sold for some profit. No academy connection. Can't be excited about managers considering we're on our 14th or so since my compatriots took over the stewardship.

I think this is what kills me. We have lost any identity we had with the last time we actually won something. Maybe that's what Eghbali wants? This is the least connected I've felt to the club since Avram Grant and Scolari were here. In 24 years of supporting this club, this is easily the worst.
