The statues in Genoa have rub spots - most of the young boys have their feet rubbed and there are a few tweaked nipples on the ladies. The angels look so judgmental, I wonder if that is part of the allure for the foot fondling.

I went to Genoa with @lohkay.bsky.social and spent a long time in crypts. Lots of great reference, it’s very Bloodborne vibes.

The sun came out in NorCal. The winter here is Green. There was some flooding in my county but tbh it was nothing compared to December.

Pacific coast in December: The floods have pushed tons of ancient driftwood onto the beach from the rivers, some of the tree bases are clearly over 1000 years old. If I had a crane I’d bring the big boys home and hollow them into huts. The seagulls and cormorant were feasting on something.

Meat and mushrooms and Giant Sequoias and the blue of Sonoma county hills. I’ve had an epic feast of a Thanksgiving and then walking in the great trees after. We saw a coven singing in a tree circle and gave them privacy. Wild this is my hood now.

The Hoshigaki have bloomed. The sugar and flavor is sublime. It only took about 4 weeks! I will have to exercise discipline to not eat them all.

I’m doing some glass blowing to make Christmas ornaments this year- just icicles and candy canes for now but maybe something more complex later. Also the rain has been making the moss go CRAZY in our town- trees and bushes are covered. Last pic is weed for my stoner friends- this is our local crop.

Yeah I have to start making rust for oxidation occur- gotta find nails and such and soak them for the alchemical magic to happen. Also pretty hot seeing where the wasps burrowed out to start the process again.

Autumn oddities- my new hometown is an oak gall paradise. I’m going to try and make ink out of them. Mushrooms are popping up, and blackberries are left to wither on the vine. Also I found a tree with eyes. #autumn #mushrooms

Progress pics of my dried persimmons- the sugar is starting to bloom. The cat found the fireplace and I went to my director’s mansion on a private hill. He had a huge chicken coop, trying to convince him to buy California quails. Just little moments in life.

I feel like I’m posting like it’s a lifestyle blog but honestly it’s just me trying to be zen. I’m starting my yearly fruitcake- it’s a king’s ransom of dried fruit and spices. And what fall evening doesn’t want a chili and cornbread?
