My husband is Canadian and comes from families that were Italian and French immigrants. After about the third time visiting Canada, I asked my parents, “why didn’t you consider moving to Canada?” The U.S. was always known as the Gold Mountain but they should have looked for peace not for gold.

The Monarch butterfly count this year for the West Coast is alarmingly low. The count is dismal at 9,119 at all overwintering sites TOTAL conducted by Xerces. Plant milkweed and don’t use pesticides. (No harm came to the butterfly in the pic.) #butterflysky #monarch #butterflies #plantnative
