“Transformational” and “historic” is cherry-picking right from Leavitt’s desk

How about “abrasive” and “dictatorial”?

Worst fears? Like what?

That the American left values human life more than Netanyahu?

That the American left doesn’t just give lip service to the need for human rights?

Fetterman = bad
Fetterman = dem
Therefore, dem = bad

I’m no Socrates, but I think there might be a flaw in your logic, especially in the wake of a new generation of Dems

Asia is de-investing $7.5 Trillion from the US

It’s hard to keep track of the trillions of losses that Trump has caused in the short term.

And we’ll be spending the next decades tracking his trillions of losses in the long term

Our finances are unsustainable

Publish or perish has been replaced by publish AND perish 🤦‍♂️

Melodious idiocy

I’m all for more nuclear and streamlined processes, but Trump is probably going to ignore all reason and build recklessly
May 24, 2025 at 11:47 AM
I mean, as long as we’re fantasizing about nuclear detonations, what about helping solve climate change with a big boom?

What an idiot. Everyone is so terrified to admit mistakes, nothing gets fixed! And his only solution is more fear

Does he really not detect a cycle of self-imposed incompetence?

Yes, a question just waiting for a dick-scovery

As a technologist and an engineer, my instinct is to improve religion with rapid iteration like any other technology

Of course “rapid” in religious terms could still mean years at a time. Still, we don’t need another millennium to build something better than what the previous millennia have built
May 22, 2025 at 3:52 PM
The simple answer is that religion is a tool that can be used for good or evil. It augments the will of its users by manifesting their beliefs in a shared reality.

The more complex and impactful question is, how do we create religion that unites and engenders empathy?

My goodness. Who cares?! This is the sort of non-policy, no impact news cycle that makes ppl tune out

How can we argue that politics matters to the public when we present this non-substantive image of politics?

Leave the he-said she-said battles in tabloids and blogs. Report the news

Trump: “How can I cripple the economy more? Wait, I got it! Hold my oil barrel!”

One side of me is wondering if you work for NYT and the other is marveling at how your attitude is orange-juice flavored

What mattress do you use, ‘cause damn! You know how to get up and at ‘em in the morning!

This just in — Biden’s still old, but now he’s also sick…but will still live another 5-10 years, which matches his prognosis for being old 🙄

It’s as if we’re concerned about not having made a big enough deal about his age a year ago

Is there nothing else we could be talking about?
