I know some software that doesn't respect correctly the location of these folders, and always saves files in C:\Users\...\Documents.
If you are trying to move it somewhere maybe Windows itself doesn't respect it correctly, and try to verify if the folders in C:\Users\...\ already exist.

If i remember correctly, you can go to the properties of these folders and change their location, and this will be applied correctly across Windows

Did you try with the CodeLLDB extension? I never had issues with it, either for debugging on Windows or linux.
For the jsons, I didn't had any particular issues, but maybe i'm using it too simply to encounter issues (tasks.json has only a shell task compiling, and the launch is just codelldb)

Yep they did. But as far as I know the layoffs here are only concerning the new, cancelled, project.
But I don't think anybody at Xbox can escape the cuts.

it was another, unannounced MMO that has been cancelled with the huge cuts two weeks ago

It's more the fact to add another dependency. But I should really look into that, since I will need to use Freetype directly on my project at some point.
June 25, 2025 at 7:55 PM
Maybe it's because I never took the time to add Freetype, and using only the default stb truetype provided.

I still find it useful because it is a font still readable at small sizes with its pixel perfect approach. I find that all the other, more classical fonts (Roboto, Noto, …) looks way worse at the same size, making it mandatory to scale up all the UI by having a default size to 14-15pt.

I feel this, with Windows development and all the horrific macros they declare.
min, max, near, far… And I'm not even talking about their A/W wrapper macros.

std is awfully bad to create templates bloat with 5 functions callstack just to make a push_back. Recreating a smaller std for your needs is the way, and it saves you all the "implementation defined" behaviors between vendors.
