she chases light,
reprieve from the shadowscape within.
The air beyond is still,
neither warm nor cold,
sighing in moonlight not meant for her
She traces “sorry” on a hidden #measure of skin,
returning to her starless sleep.
There, among her shadows, she is home.

Where touch is a shapeless wind,
brooding with the sea
There, he meets her—
where nightfall undresses,
and horizons melt beyond fear.

Let us remain an open song
That stirs on morning breeze
And glints on moon’s playful brow
On the #fringe of dream and waking.
Let us remain a wayward wish
That murmurs at eventide
And hides in scent of summer rain—warm and free.

So when thieves return
They see not my weeping heart
Nor my heavy gaze or wintered hopes.
Veil me in this #petulant hush of night,
Where I bury regrets in whispers and tears in silvered streams.
I am but a drifting speck of light, chasing the morning.
