Okay, so besides forgetting I had it, I wouldn't have wanted to get too exhausted from work in my Eevee hat.

Only had one group come by so far on this windy evening, but it was at least like 10 kids and their parents, so it feels productive to some extent.

Feeling way too much like Snoozer right now. The coziness of my bed is too strong.

Forgive me coming up with an idea for the second one (half vent, admittedly), but wanted to conjure up a bit of poetry in my idea for a potential #weeklypawmpt

Tentative title is "Changing Love" #WordsofBloom
Poem (as Google Docs file on mobile) titled: Changing Love [part one in this file]: Talk to me, Love It's been years since we’ve grown acquainted Or at least, once I got to know you Staring into those eyes I know how dark your mind has been as of late And yet it's leaking to your face Encompassing your gaze Somehow enveloping without hiding Seeing your body Tall it stands, sure, but out of stilts and glue With tape of all marks and a cast of iron Masking bruises, burns, and scars Both worn and engulfed Swiping your hands upward as if to touch They want to grasp at something If not a friendly hand, then hope That would've felt nice A strong and steady hand To guide you through it all Yet I can only muster a mutual strength Am I sane? I can only hope And it's hard to tell if the vision in front of me Mimics those aspirations [part 2 of the poem]: I only notice the outward vision Steadfast, stoic, standoffish A heart which yearns to be brash and bold The easiest trait to follow; the hardest to convey And desiring a love to match the strength it wields Despite all those thoughts I stare back, Love Wondering if I love myself back I've put myself through so many trials And formed connections I could dream of All through the screen. A powerful connection of phone calls and emails And friendly faces Albeit within their masks and animated beings Colors illuminating throughout And reassurances my being is important and matters And that heartfelt meant they felt my heart And not facading any pity And yet, once I power down I’m left with a blackened mirror To stare at all my imperfections Physical, mental, emotional I don't feel the same Not as before Talking to myself has been all the harder these days

Halloween a few years back my mates and I were dressed up for Halloween and my cat furry roommate (good guy, furries are entertaining folks) was wearing his partial suit out with us. We were in Boston proper and all of us were on a budget at the time, so the only option for a late night drink and dinner open to us was a place called Dick’s Last Resort. If you’ve never been, the big draw at Dick’s is that they’re dicks to you. The staff are sarcastic, they throw your menus and straws and shit at you, and they make you hats that say mean stuff. [Image is of an apathetic person in a restaurant, they're wearing a tall chef-like hat with the words "Nobody likes me" written on it] I don’t get it either. So anyways, we’ve got - I’ll call him Frank - the cat with us, and Frank’s 100% ready to go fuck with Dicks, so we head on in. The waitress starts doing her bit, but the cat in the room has thrown off her game and she doesn’t really know how to handle Frank in Full Cat mode. He points out the drink he wants without speaking, with a paw, on the menu and she asks for an ID and starts saying ‘I swear to god your ID better have a big fuckkin’ cat on it or-“ [Image is an up close but blurred New York state license with a photo of an orange cat in place of the headshot. Didn’t talk to us the rest of the evening. Anyways, I dug up this old photo today and thought it deserved to be preserved for posterity. So here you go, the day Frank broke Dicks.

But yeah, I definitely enjoy the "slice of life" moments to hanging out much more. Doesn't have to be anything extravagant or busy, just seeing cool stuff and chatting with company.

They were two precious sisters: Mischief and Mayhem. May not have been able to pet them, but could tell they were sweethearts all the same.

Even more precious when we saw them take a nap next to each other afterward. Must've overwhelmed them a bit, I know I'd feel the same way.

Today's trip was in Syracuse itself for Little Ray's Nature Center at Destiny USA.
It was an unusual encounter and spot, a lot of reptiles and other cute critters, but the highlight was getting up close to a fennec fox!
