Some of the greatest shows of all time feature absolutely detestable main characters who remain horrible throughout the entire series. Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Mr. Robot, True Detective, Succession, all starring miserable cunts who suck shit. But those protagonists are men, so 😊

Dropping something because the protagonist sucks and the story clearly thinks they’re awesome is one thing, but dropping it because the protag is a shitty person when that’s clearly the entire point of the thing you’re experiencing is just baffling to me.
