Part of this definitely comes from and perpetuates devaluing art as something frivolous, and the idea that it isn’t ‘real work,’ or that it’s a waste of time. Surely it can’t be THAT special if this application can make ‘the same thing!’ It wouldn’t matter to those who don’t value artists’ labor.
