It arrived today and went straight on up my gallery wall! Very happy with it! Thanks! By the way, I saw the colored version of Suburban Cat, page 1. Beautiful! I thought it was a black and white project. Very nice!

BD en quatre cases réalisée pour la 16ᵉ édition de Québec en toutes lettres, dont le thème cette année était « L’autre qui bat en nous ». On y célébrait les figures marquantes, les filiations littéraires, la transmission et les voix qui nous ont précédées et inspirées. J’ai choisi Félix Leclerc!

I took one out of mothballs 8 years ago when I set up my home studio. It works fine on my land line. It's always a delight to hear it ring or to dial a number!

J'ai appris le décès de Drew, illustrateur de talent qui est à l'origine de tant d'affiches de films qui font partie de la culture populaire. Merci Drew. RIP/I just heard the passing of Drew, a great artist who made so many movie posters that are part of the pop culture. Thank you Drew. RIP

Being a fan of Hammer Films, Christopher Lee and Dracula, I decided to make myself a little something inspired by Dracula A.D. 1972, my favorite film starring Lee as the immortal count. Not quite movie accurate, but close enough.

Sometimes art inpires art. I'm not saying that Van Doesburg's painting influenced the designers who worked on the original Star Trek series but there is an undeniable similitude.

Purchase of the day! Batman: Year One Artist's Edition by David Mazzucchelli. Beautiful artwork at presented in its original size of 14" x 21". It's filled with the complete story, pencil layouts, sketches, ink illustrations and more. This is so much more than a comic book. It's an art book.

Achat de la semaine (à ma librairie locale, pas chez Amazon!). Le tome 2 de Supermatou par le génial Jean-Claude Poirier, parti trop tôt (à 37 ans). Un incontournable pour ceux qui ont connus la belle époque de Pif Gadget!

Nouvel achat! DROME de Jesse Lonergan. Une bd au découpage génial. Un mythe de la création onirique, adapté au contexte moderne. Je l'ai lu d'un trait. Excellent!

On a trip to Italy a few years back, I was struck by all the artwork dedicated to fictional characters like God, Jesus and the saints. I figured why not make one of my own. I chose my favorite fictional character: Tony Stark. After all he did save the entire universe by sacrificing himself.

Love this graphic design, especialy the second one! But to me, this iteration of Superman is just a guy in a bad looking suit with the wrong logo. I miss the depth and gravitas of Snyder's version. His Superman is the real thing. A god, a savior. Not a comic book clown. Plus, Cavill was perfect.
