Blogging happily ever after at http://stubblejumperscafe.wordpress.com in rural Saskatchewan. I'm the tall one & those two little cuties are my younger much sweeter sisters.
On the wall.
I may not be a Christian, but there are some dandy verses in scripture.

Weather we do or weather we don't -- it was a fine foggy morning

Can you see the glittering snow? It was a glorious walk.

No snow that's stayed yet, but the wind made me work while out walking.

Well that was a short walk. It took longer to dress for it! At one point, snow hitting my face hurt.

Is it a be-capped horse woman of the apocalypse, or a centaur?

I have been waiting for this. Here's hoping the person who murdered her is roasting in Hell.

Perfect fall day.

Sunset at the old corral tonight. A lot of dust in the air, harvest in full swing, so field dust and road dust both.

There was frost on the roof of our house yesterday morning. Had to put the furnace on. Two dappled fawns frolicked in our front yard; sweet. Today it's windy, raining, perfect for baking bread & reading. Pic from walk late yesterday afternoon. Might not get out there today if weather stays ugly.

My walk this morning. It's cool, it's quiet, it's beautiful, but after the first mile I put on a podcast. I'm up to 3 miles these days; should be fit someday soon. Bicycling in evenings, and leisure walks then. Good to have time for all of it nowadays.

Harvest is underway.

Don't ask me why I said sure, let's watch Mission Impossible. I am bored silly. Might as well go to bed and read.
Look! Somebody in my house really loves potatoes.
Nightynight.

This smoke is starting to get on my nerves. I know, I know: could be worse.

This little sweetie rested on this small daisy all day. I rested in the swing under shady oaks nearby all that afternoon. We were good company for each other.

Even masked-up against the smoke, my walk this morning wasn't pleasant. As Charlie Angus said, we no longer have summer -- we have fire season.

I don't dig them up or snip more than one or two from a stand of coneflowers in the ditch beside my road. But any day now the municipal mower will cut everything down. Before it's too late I take my clippers & bring a couple blooms inside. Every year there are more medicinal wildflowers.

Another day.
Shoot, I was at Aurora Beach car show and didn't take any pictures of shiny objects.

So. The bird in the pic posted yesterday has been identified as a Western Grebe. No thanks to Google, which called it a loon, but to readers of my blog. Today's bird is a pelican.
