Completely agree but lots of online negativity over the decision which was ultimately correct. I think we’ve got to a point where there is so much frustration with refs/VAR that even when they do get it right we look forward ways to say they were wrong

Completely agree. Not a controversial take at all. I accept that subjective calls will be right/wrong. My frustration is always the basics not being done correctly and consistently

What makes it worse is the fact that the only reason I knew that’s why it was disallowed was because I actually listened to the referee announcement. Perhaps if they hadn’t be talking over it they would have heard what he said
