I've spent waaay too much time in blender that last couple of weeks. My head hurts from all the nodes. But through it all I made an intuitive shell based fur system using Geo and Shader Nodes. I wanted to make this as a less memory intensive alternative to using a particle fur or curves fur system.

Made 2 renders ... One took 10 hours the other 3 minutes. Both were in cycles with CUDA using the GPU. Guess which is which.
